Fooled you, no?

Thursday, September 22nd, 2005

It’s just so funny. Ever since I changed my primary photo in Friendster, the number of people who viewed my profile has gone up.

My dear friend Andre called me last Friday, asking me about the photo, curious who that little girl in the picture with me is.

That’s Toko. She’s 5 years old and Japanese. I met her in the British School-Manila while I taught her class about the five senses (hearing, seeing, smelling, touching, and tasting). We had our picture taken together because I realized we looked so much alike that she could be my ‘mini-Me’.

So there you have it. She’s not my daughter. She just looks like me. You can now stop speculating.

The Fat and Thin of It…

I just think it’s really weird when people tell me I’ve lost weight when I feel like I’ve put on a few pounds. This week, I was trying on my clothes, woven ones, and they feel a little loose so I know definitely I’ve lost a few inches even if I haven’t been going to the gym lately because of my work schedule (which is entirely another story). The funny thing is, I’ve got more than a few people tell me that it looks like I’ve gained weight recently (hmmm, let’s see, my lola, tita, mom, Dinh Thi).

Oh well…

The Heart of My Manager

Monday, September 5th, 2005

My manager, Mary Paminutan, sent me this message last week.

"Our prayer for you is for God to show us the way for u to be a shinging example of God’s righteousness in this (entertainment) industry and example to others. We pray for guidance to know the purpose of what He wants to accomplish in you. Our company is but a steward of His will. Amen"

Now that’s a manager who understands my heart.
